My name is Carmen Claudio, age 64. I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer on July 31st, just a few days after my birthday. I had my first surgery on October 27th. The doctor had assured me that the procedure was successful. I was called in for my follow-up appointment on November 6th, and unfortunately was informed that a second surgery is necessary. Another cancerous tumor was found, leaving me in the position of having to go through this difficult and painful situation all over again. I will undergo surgery this Friday, November 17th. It has been very hard for me to accept it.
I send my most heartfelt appreciation to all of those that have supported me during this time. Your donations have helped me in more ways than I can say. My treatment has burdened me financially despite having health insurance. I remain full of hope through all of this hardship with the idea that you will continue sharing and supporting my campaign.

Mi nombre es Carmen Claudio, edad 64. Me diagnosticaron cáncer de mama el 31 de julio, sólo unos días después de mi cumpleaños. Tuve mi primera cirugía el 27 de octubre. El doctor me aseguró que el procedimiento fue exitoso.
Me llamaron para mi cita de seguimiento el 6 de noviembre, y desafortunadamente fui informada que una segunda cirugía es necesaria. Otro tumor canceroso fue encontrado, dejándome en la posición de tener que pasar por esta situación difícil y dolorosa de nuevo. Me someteré a cirugía este viernes, 17 de noviembre. Ha sido muy difícil para mí aceptarlo.
Quiero envíarle mi más sincero agradecimiento a todos aquellos que me han apoyado durante este tiempo. Sus donaciones me han ayudado en más formas de las que esperaba. Apezar de tener seguro medico mi tratamiento ha sido muy costoso. Tengo la esperanza de que apesar de todas estas dificultades, ustedes seguirán compartiendo y apoyando mi campaña.
