On 9/17/2018 we lost our beautiful, joyful and loving mother, Carmen Romero. The loss of our mother is a tragic event we never expected to experience so soon and so suddenly.
Two weeks ago we took our mom to the hospital after noticing she was unresponsive. The doctors gave us different diagnosis, not really knowing what was happening to her besides the fact that she had some type of brain infection. She started having many seizures that left her with major brain damage and still no explanation of what was going on. Today, we had to let her go after the doctors informed us there was nothing else they could do. The cause of death is still unknown. Disconnecting our mother was by far the most difficult and most painful moment of our lives. We would have done anything to keep her a little longer here with us.
Our mom was the life of the party; wherever she was, there were always smiles, tons of dirty jokes, and just pure joy. She will truly be missed by friends and family.
Our mother left behind my father, 5 young daughters, and 6 grandchildren, one of which she didn’t get to meet as he was born a few days before her passing.
We ask you with broken hearts to please help us give our mother the goodbye she deserves. During this time of need, anything helps, even $10 dollars as we will need to cover medical and funeral expenses.
El día 17 de Septiembre perdimos a nuestra hermosa, alegre y cariñosa madre, Carmen Romero. La pérdida de nuestra madre es un evento trágico que nunca esperábamos experimentar tan pronto y tan repentinamente.
Hace dos semanas llevamos a nuestra madre al hospital después de notar que ella no respondía. Los médicos nos dieron diagnósticos diferentes, sin saber realmente lo que le estaba pasando, además del hecho de que tenía algún tipo de infección en el cerebro. Ella comenzó a tener muchas convulsiones que la dejaron con un gran daño cerebral y aún no dieron ninguna explicación de lo que estaba sucediendo. Hoy, tuvimos que dejarla ir después de que los doctores nos informaron que no había nada más que pudieran hacer. La causa de la muerte aún se desconoce. Desconectar a nuestra madre fue el momento más difícil y más doloroso de nuestras vidas. Habríamos hecho cualquier cosa para mantenerla un poco más tiempo aquí con nosotros.
Nuestra madre era la vida de la fiesta; donde quiera que estaba, siempre había sonrisas, chistes y pura alegría. Sus amigos y familiares la extrañamos mas que nunca.
Nuestra madre dejó a mi padre, 5 hijas pequeñas y 6 nietos, uno de los cuales no pudo conocer ya que nació pocos días antes de su fallecimiento.
Les pedimos con los corazones rotos que por favor nos ayuden a darle a nuestra madre la despedida que se merece. Durante este tiempo de necesidad, cualquier cosa ayuda, incluso $10 dólares ya que necesitaremos cubrir gastos médicos y funerarios.
