Carmen Boys Scholarship Fund

If you know the Carmen Family, then you are extremely lucky, as they are one amazing family.  Unfortunately, they suffered a great loss with the sudden and tragic passing of Joe Carmen, husband of Denise, and father to Tyler and Ryan.  Joe will be missed not only by his family, but by everyone whose life he touched. In addition to his many talents and his incredibly generous nature, Joe was an educator. He was committed to education and helping others reach their goals and aspirations. Both Joe and Denise are two of the most selfless individuals who have devoted their lives to helping others.  This is one of the many reasons why Denise’s Ridge Road School family has organized this fundraiser.  We would like to help support the Carmen boys as they enter into their post secondary academic journeys.  Tyler is currently a Freshman at Quinnipiac University in the Physical Therapy program.  Joe and Denise are so very proud of his commitment to continuing his education in such a rigorous program. Ryan began his Freshman year in High School and by all accounts, has adjusted well to this new chapter in his education, despite the National Pandemic.  Joe’s  passion for sports was shared with both of his boys, and with Denise. He volunteered his time coaching countless youngsters in both basketball and baseball.  Both Tyler and Ryan continue to be active athletes, and Joe and Denise have supported them throughout by attending practices and games, and by volunteering behind the scenes.  


To honor Joe's memory, and all of the kindness and generosity he has shown to others, we have set up a foundation to help Denise with offsetting the expenses of sending two children off to college.  With your donation, we want to help provide financial support, in the form of “the gift of education.”  Education is something that Joe and Denise gave, and continue to give to others, and we want to be able to give something back to them to say, “THANK YOU”!
