Service Learning in Ghana

Hello! This summer, I have been given the amazing opportunity to travel to Cape Coast, Ghana through Mizzou's Office of Service Learning for the month of June. During my time in Ghana, I will be working with a local health organization to educate various communities and people about how to make better decisions in order to live healthier lives. I am hoping that during my time in Ghana, I will use my time and resources to conduct various outreach and screening programs to address multiple health concerns, such as malaria, HIV, sanitation, and more. 

Cape Coast is a community full of welcoming and passionate people, yet many of them are lacking the resources to make educated decisions about their health. I hope that my time in Ghana will be spent enriching the lives of the people through my time and effort, but I also know that they will enrich my life as well.The community in Ghana has openly welcomed Mizzou students in the past, and I am looking forward to becoming emerged into their culture, helping these people in any way that I can, and learning more about this unique community. I'd kindly ask for you to become a part of this special experience by assisting me in financing this trip. Any amount of donation, no matter the size, can go a long way.
