On June 23, 2017, Carlos was taken from us by a speeding driver that was texting while driving. It was a normal day of hard work for him at Jack's Butane. He was in a company truck, finishing up before lunch to meet his family to eat.

Carlos and his wife Rebecca have a beautiful 2.5 year-old daugter named Emily, who is the brightest star in their large family in Biola. She will be accompanied soon by a new born brother in September. Carlos will never meet his first son. His wife and daughter will also never be able to count on his hard work at Jack's Butane to provide them with a better life.

The Ponce family in Biola is stricken with grief. Along with Rebecca, Emily and his unborn son, he leaves behind his parents, Amelia and Simon; His siblings, Jessica, Maria and Osvaldo; His best friend and cousin, Alfredo, along with his many cousins, nieces and nephews whom he spent countless celebrations with at the family house in Biola.

The day before our tragedy, Carlos was at the family house discussing his intensions to buy a house for his growing family. He planned to begin investing money for his childrens future and continue providing them with the best possible start in life.

Carlos turned 30 years-old in April and recently celebrated fathers day with his extended family. He was an excellent father, husband, brother, son and worker, and will be badly missed by anyone that knew him.
