The Ryan Family has started the adventure to upgrade our family from a party of 4 to a party of 5 through the amazing opportunity of adoption.
The Lord has been stirring our hearts for many months and about a month ago we gave him our "YES" and are taking the steps to get our girl home!
We knew specifically that we would adopt a Down Syndrome little girl. We have always had a special place in our hearts for children with special needs and the Lord has opened a door and put a beautiful little girl from China in our path, Carliese Mei Ryan, Carli for short.
We combined our two favorite and most special women in the world names. Carol, Amy's mom's name means joyous song, and Lisa, Chris's mom's name means God's promise. So our sweet girl, Carli, is a "Joyous Song of God's Promise!"
So we have begun the process and are working fervently to get Carli home as soon as possible. We were not oblivious to the fact that adoption would be a big financial sacrifice, and we understand the price to every yes. We are right now in the middle of our homestudy, have paid to have a hold put on our little girl and beginning paying fees to the adoption agency. The total cost of this adoption after it's all said and done will be $30,000 with fees, travel and document expenses. We are on a very bold adventure to raise $30,000 in 30 days with your help. We are asking 1,000 people if they would be willing to give $30.00 in the next 30 days to help us make sure "Carli's Covered".
With your donation, we will put your name on a blanket being made for Carli that she will have to remind her that she is covered by so many people and the faithfulness of our Lord!
Psalm 5:11 says, "But let all those who go to you for safety be glad. Let them always sing with joy. Spread your cover over them and keep them safe. Then those who love you will be glad because of you."
