Carlie-ann’s Stem Cell treatments

Donation protected
Please help us improve quality of life for our 15year old daughter Carlie-ann.
At the young age of 2 she was diagnosed with a rare genetic neurological condition which primarily affects the nervous system called Angelman Syndrome. "Angles" as they are affectionately known as delayed mentally and physically. They often have seizures, most are non verbal and are delayed walking (if at all). They are restless, have trouble sleeping, frequent bouts of manic laughing and can be aggressive to themselves and people around them.
To learn more about Angelman Syndrome please visit https://ghr.nlm.gov/condition/angelman-syndrome and www.angelman.org
Carlie-ann is affectionate, likes to cuddle and most days has a happy demeanor. She has a keen sense of humor and loves to watch comedies. Being non verbal, her mood can change quickly, she gets very frustrated and has no patience! Carlie-ann has minimal fine motor skills, cannot do any person care, only drinks from a syringe, needs one-on-one EA at school and 24hr care. Life has its struggles and we have them every day as anyone with a child/dependant with a disability will understand. Going out as a family is very trying for us, most days impossible to manage. We have learned to cope as you do when put in a situation you can't change. Our main goal has been to make life for Carlie-ann the best it can be.
Recently we have learned of a new Stem Cell treatment that could improve Carlie-ann's life quality. This treatment could lessen her seizures the aggression and possibly some of the sensory issues. This may then give her more of a chance to learn some of the basic things that most children do without thinking. Hopefully learning to speak some words making life less frustrating and improving her life.
The facility is in Los Algodonese, Mexico. Carlie-ann would need 4 treatments. We need to raise $35,000 to cover treatments and travel. You can read about the treatments, the facility and success stories at www.giostar.com.
We would greatly appreciate any donations or support by sharing our story.
Thank you so much, Tracey Stoberg(McPhee) and Theo Stoberg.
