Carlie & Eric's Journey

What's going on...

Pictured here is my friend of 25+ yrs. and her fiancé Eric. First, let me tell you about my BFF. She's the best friend that I share with so many people because she is everyone's best friend. She is the girl we all call our bestie! She is the girl that is always there to help when we need her. She is the girl who never asks us for help, even when she is struggling with something!

Many of you may not even know, she has been struggling lately because she keeps it all inside. I know she has a great support system of friends & family, so I'm calling on you all to help.

Perhaps her biggest supporter is her fiancé Eric. These 2 started out as friends and shortly fell in love. What continues to be a beautiful journey has been marked by trials and struggles. As you know, they are engaged to be married but their marriage has been put on hold. Between the COVID-19 pandemic and Eric loosing both of his parents unexpectedly over a 12-month period, they have decided to put wedding plans on hold.

One thing that cannot be put on hold though, is their dream, wish and desire to start a family.

After 12 months of trying to conceive on their own, they have been unsuccessful. The past few months have brought upon more disappointing news, when various test results revealed they only have a 3% chance of conceiving naturally due to medical complications. They are devastated but remain hopeful. After several tests and specialist appointments, there is one opportunity for this couple to conceive a child and it's through IVF. Carlie & Eric feel this is their best option.

Praise the Lord, Carlie & Eric have been saving for a year. Unfortunately, IVF is extremely costly and their entire savings does not come close to the extravagant price tag of paying for IVF out of pocket. The majority of costs must be paid upfront. Which is why I am here, hoping that together, as Carlie & Eric's support system, we can help them achieve their dream.

Carlie & Eric are trying to remain strong and hopeful through this journey. By choosing to support them, you are reminding them that they are not alone.
