Carl/Gene McCallie heart transplant

This is for my best friend Carl Eugene McCallie.  He is a Christian man, 58, on disablity,and in desperate need of a heart transplant.  He has overcome many obstacles in life and needs your help.  He was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years ago and is currently in remission.  He has had gastric bypass surgery to improve his health and went from 376 pounds to 187 pounds and looks great! He had a knee replacement, and shortly after, his gall bladder removed. He has a pacemaker/defibrillator and went in to have blood work done.  The heart doctor told him his heart is working at 10% and that if he doesn't have a heart transplant soon, he will have less than a year to live.  Carl must have $10,000 up front so that they know he's serious about the transplant. He will then be put on the transplant list. If he is lucky enough to receive a heart before the year is up, he will need to be in the hospital for 4-6 weeks, then required to stay on Baylor Medical University (in Dallas) for an extra 6-8 weeks.  If he doesn't have someone with him 24/7 at the Twice Blessed House (at $50 a night), he has to stay at the Hilton located on the grounds at $100 a night, which is most likely going to be the case since no one is available to stay with him 6-8 weeks.
Please help us help Carl.  He would give you the shirt off his back and his last dollar to a total stranger if they needed it.  And now he needs your help.
