Carla's Journey to a Cure:
Carla Moore Hudgins, who we all love, needs our help in her battle against Stage 2 Pancreatic Cancer. She is presently undergoing treatment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Goodyear Arizona. She will be flying back and forth to Arizona every 2 weeks for chemotherapy and radiation treatments. There will be many expenses incurred during Carla's treatment. If we could all band together and contribute money to help offset some of the expenses, Carla could rest a little easier and concentrate on getting better.

Back for rest until pet scan. Surgery consult went well. Love this man! I am not a candidate for surgery at this time. I must have chemo and radiation first to the area that is encased. This is specific prayer to God to that area to shrink and take it away. Then surgery to remove pancreas tail and spleen. To God be the glory. Nap time till pet scan . ❤️
Well today is in the books! We will not be flying home tomorrow as planned. Monday I start the day with acupuncture treatment to help with areas of pain. Then at some point during Monday G.I. Will do a EDG OUS, and perform a pancreatic nerve block to help ease my pain. And place my port during this procedure also. Tuesday will be my first Chemo day. One takes 15 minutes and the other 30 minutes.
I will 100% lose my hair. So wig consult in the works. Wednesday or Thursday will fly home until January 2 for more Chemo. I will be on 2 week intervals until the end of February at which time there will be a repeat of the PET scan.
Upon results will either have surgery to remove the tail of the pancreas and spleen. If results are not as we want them, then a different chemo with targeted radiation. Then surgery. Then remission.
I love this team of physicians and medical providers. They are over the top! They KNOW their stuff and they care about you and your family. We have been prayed for, with, on, loved on and genuinely shown kindness and compassion. God put me here. I know without a doubt.
