Carla Martinez' Cancer Fund

My Aunt Carla is known for bringing happiness with her wherever she goes. The moment she walks into a room, it fills with joy. She knows how to make anyone laugh; either by her funny stories and jokes or her laugh itself. Although many know her as a dedicated worker, she is a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She has battled breast cancer and is one of the strongest people I know. 

On February 6, cancer was found at the base of her brain and top of her spine. The doctor's assumed the breast cancer had returned. After tests and radiation treatments, she battles stage four bone cancer that they believed may have formed from the breast cancer. Now, this year of 2019, her illness has worsened since the start of this gofundme. She has trouble walking (needs a cane or walker at times) and is on oxygen. She is no longer employed, and the medical bills have increased tremendously. By battling breast cancer previously, she continues to pay out of pocket for medical bills. Any support is greatly needed and appreciated to fund her treatments. 

Tears running down her face, she told my mother that she doesn't think she will be able to fight this time because the bills are too stressful and overwhelming This broke our hearts. We recommended fundraising and to think of all the people who love her.  She is not just a strong woman; she is a FIGHTER.
