Carla Burk's Memorial Expenses

On July 1, 2017 a beautiful life ended way too soon. My mom passed very suddenly and unexpectedly. My mom was a very kind-hearted, fun loving, and such a caring person. She didn't have a mean bone in her body. Her heart was so pure and she was loved by so many because of it. Our family wishes she could have seen just how loved and needed she really was. Most people knew her by these traits and her bright personailty. She was fun to be around and would do anything for anyone.
My mother struggled her whole life with depression. From the loss of her mom at a young age, to the loss of her dad just a few years ago, and many other losses in between. She faced some of life's toughest battles, and spent her life seeing pain and suffering, but she fought hard to overcome the obstacles she faced. Watching her dad pass only escalated the pain that my mom felt, and she began to get worn down from the years of heartache. My mom was an incredibly strong woman, but being strong for so long took a toll on her mentally and physically. Most were shocked hearing the news of my mother's passing because she hid her pain and always made sure others were okay before ever letting others know she was hurting herself.
June 30th became a day that will forever be engrained in my family's memory. As Aaron and I arrived at the house on that day, we walked into the biggest nightmare we could have imagined. She was able to be resuscitated and was placed on life support for 26 hours. For a short amount of time our family thought that she was getting better and may be able to make it out of it, but unfortunately this was not the case. As our mom's condition got increasingly worse, the family made the choice to let her go and let her be at peace, because there was no chance of her waking up and she showed no brain activity. She stopped responding as well to the medicine that was keeping her alive, and because we knew that she wouldn't have wanted to be kept alive like that, we decided the that letting her go was in her best interest.
She's remembered today for the good person she was. All of the memories people have of her were solely positive memories of fun and happy times. She was always having fun, making jokes, listening to, and helping others. A lot of people confided in her because she was so kind and helpful. My mother's generosity was astonishing and that was such an admirable trait.
My mom was taken from her family far too soon and very unexpectedly. Her family is struggling to come up with the funding to give her the service that she deserves. Any donatations or help would be greatly appreciated by her family. We ask that you continue to pray for our family as we mourn the loss of our loved one.
