<div>In July of 2022 Carla was diagnosed with a high-grade 3 HER2+ aggressive form of Breast Cancer which has spread to her axillary lymph nodes. If you know Carla, you know that cancer picked the wrong woman to mess with. A true Warrior with fresh battle wounds.

<div>She's the toughest, funniest, and perhaps most loving person we know. While her strength is admirable, her compassion and kindness for others is even greater. Carla loves her family and friends more than anything and is everyone's biggest supporter. Most importantly she's a mommy to a beautiful 9 year old girl Cyane. Who is a talented artist and participates in jui jitsu, Mark's bestie * &amp; wifey, and a collector of 4 small ungrateful fur babies cleverly named Tubby con chubby, SpankyLou Freebush, Mochi Pan Baby, and Pari Milo DeeDoo.

<div>Let's help get our girl healthy and back on track for the wonderful life she and Mark have created. Even with the cancer diagnosis they stayed strong and were married on September 17, 2022. That following Monday instead of a honeymoon they headed to a cancer center for Carla's 1st chemotherapy.
</div>

<div>Unfortunately, she had an allergic reaction and blacked out. and needed further observation. It would be 2 weeks before she could return to chemotherapy after a revised treatment plan. Our breast cancer warrior has already bravely undergone her port placement surgery, 6 months of weekly chemotherapy, followed by a bilateral mastectomy (April 2023 ), and the 1st part of a few reconstructive surgeries. Currently she has monthly chemotherapy, daily radiation until September 28, 2023. From there a MRI to make sure cancer is completely gone or has not spread.

<div>Carla and Mark are very independent. But, they are realizing their situation is too much for the family to manage alone as a single income household. Currently she cannot work due to the high volume of treatments &amp; appointments weekly. Because of this, it is sometimes difficult for Mark to miss work in order to be the caregiver and support his wife and daughter may need at home.
</div>

<div>We are hoping this fundraiser can help the family in their time of need. Trust us when say your donation could not go to a more deserving person/family. The generous donations will go towards covering the existing medical debt, for continued treatments, and essential services during her cancer journey.

<div>Additionally, Carla will still have many upcoming medical visits, weekly travel, medications, and surgeries left in her treatment plan that will further this financial burden. Navigating these new costs of Breast Cancer has been incredibly difficult on its own. If you cannot contribute please keep her and her family in your prayers.
