Carl’s Story
I am humbly reaching out to ask you to support my good friend Carl Gizzi.
In December 2020, Carl began a typical work day enjoying his morning coffee and unexpectedly suffered a life-changing Stroke. This came as a shock to everyone who knows and loves Carl as he is the picture of health, is active, and leads a healthy lifestyle. As a result, Carl has lost his ability to earn an income and is ineligible to collect disability.
Carl runs Holton Street Auto Body, a well-respected small business in Dracut MA, skillfully repairing vehicles himself. Carl's stroke came at at time when Holton Street Auto Body was not immune to the financial toll the Covid-19 pandemic has taken on so many small businesses. There are considerably less accidents as many people have been working remotely and traveling much less for the past 10 months, so collision repairs are way down. Carl has proudly supported local Police, sport teams, community events and donated bicycles to kids. His kindness, sense of humor, and loyalty not only extend to his customers and community, but also to his friends and family who he has steadfastly stood by and helped since childhood.
As of January 2021, Carl has been discharged from the hospital and is attending an outpatient rehabilitation center working hard on his comeback!
