Please help Carl as he adjusts to life as a stroke survivor

In Australia 1 stroke occurs every 11 minutes and unfortunately on the morning of Monday, 25th November Carl became a part of that statistic.

Carl’s stroke was the result of a bleed on his brain and had initially left him paralyzed down his right side, however with hard work, grit and inspiring determination Carl has been able to regain some of his movement back with the help of The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s amazing stroke recovery team.

Whilst it’s still very early in Carl’s stroke recovery with a lot still unknown - what we do know is Carl is going to require extensive in hospital rehabilitation for a minimum 3 months and when he is ready to return home it is likely there will need to be modifications made, as well as equipment/aids to support him as he adapts to his new way of life. Additionally Carl will not be able to work for some time and still has his beloved 3 children - Bella, Harry and Grayson that for the time being he can’t physically care for, though still needs to continue to provide financial support to.

Carl has always been one to help people where he can and he now finds himself in his own time of need - anything you are able to donate to ease some of Carl’s financial strain and help him rebuild his life as a stroke survivor will be greatly appreciated ❤️

We will also be looking to donate some of what is raised to The Stroke Foundation - a national charity that partners with the community to prevent stroke, save lives, and enhance recovery - and of which have been instrumental in helping us understand what a stroke is and what life may look like after having one.
