Caring for Texas

Every year, my father (Brian Miller) and I take a vacation somewhere. We’ll usually pick a place we haven’t been and make a week or so out of it. This year, however, we have decided to lend a hand to the hurricane victims in Texas. Brian has already donated over 10% of our goal just to get things started. 

We will be collecting physical donations at various locations in Kokomo, Indiana until December 14th. We are asking for things such as food, slightly used or new clothing, toys, hygiene products and even building materials.  We will then round up all of the donations and drive them to Texas in a Uhaul.

We are also accepting monetary donations here on our Go Fund Me page. All of the money will be spent on items such as food, hygiene products, building materials and clothing for those in need during the holiday season. Though it's for everyone, one goal we have is to get every child an outfit and a toy while making sure everyone eats. 

While we are in Texas, we will also have a community day (city to be determined). There will be music, a cookout and smiling faces to bring the community together to celebrate life.

The rest of the time that we are there, we will be working with various people to help clean up and rebuild the cities of Texas. We will use some of the funds to buy building materials such as hammers, nails, saws, and lumber.

This is the first time my father and I will be doing this kind of thing so any help would be much appreciated.
