Caring for Mom During Her Recovery

Hi everyone! Those who know me know that I am never one to ask for help - I feel like now it’s needed more than ever. My mom has recently started going to the doctor to make sure her health is good and she can be here for a long time with myself, my brother, and my three babies. She has had a known growth on her lung since 2019, with all her recent appointments they decided they should take another look at the growth and do a biopsy. On Thursday 9/19 we got the devastating news that she has a form of lung cancer. She is currently scheduled for surgery to remove the cancer 10/14 and has an expected hospital stay of 3-7 days and can not work for 3-4 weeks. While her outcome does look good and the surgeon is confident he will be able to get it all out successfully - being off of work not paid for this period of time will be a huge financial burden. I can only help so much financially since I too have a family to take care of. I’m not sure what the medical bills will entail, we are just trying to make sure she has some money to pay her bills and live off of while she’s out of work. Please also pray for her and our family as we navigate through this difficult time.
