Caring for Kietzer

Donation protected
In the midst of daily life and trivial plans, life happens, and we are grounded.

Today I would like to begin donations for the Kietzer family. 29-year-old Steven Kietzer, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, and former Sergeant of the Army was in a terrible car accident in the early morning hours of Sunday, September 23, 2018 when an SUV flipped from the opposite side of the freeway over the median into Steven’s lane, striking his vehicle. He has suffered a traumatic brain injury along with a broken femur, broken tibia and fibula, and other injuries. The support and kindness Steven has already received from so many, near and far has been amazing. We have become aware of the many lives that Steven has touched by the constant flow of friends in and out of the hospital visiting him, caring messages being texted, phone calls, and goodies being sent.

Today, 5 days later, he remains in a coma in the intensive care unit of Denver Health. Although his injuries are severe, Steven is a resilient young man. He has survived all obstacles thus far, including brain surgery and orthopedic surgery. It’s been a long week for everyone, but we remain positive as we all believe in positive energy turning into prosperous outcomes.

Steven is the younger brother of my sweet boyfriend of 5 years. This is my family, and they have a lot on their plates and likely a long road ahead. If we can alleviate a little bit of their stress along this tough road, that's a wonderful thing. Whatever you can give, no matter the amount, it’s a gift. The Kietzer family is truly the best and would never ask for anything. Thank you a thousand times in advance.

Steven's mother, Debbie, will be the sole beneficiary on this GoFundMe account. We have set her up to withdraw the funds directly into her bank account, so no one else has access to the funds, and your money is going directly to her. Debbie and Mike (Steven's father) have re-located to Denver from California to be with Steven. You are helping with their travel expenses, lodging, meals, lots of coffee, and piece of mind while their energy and focus is on Steven’s health and full recovery. ❤️
