Caring for Claudia

Claudia has been a loyal and faithful employee at WLHS for over 10 years.    She was the first cleaner that Shelia Walker trained professionally and together they set the standard of how to work hard and care for homes.  Claudia has trained all of our cleaners to not only complete a job to the highest standard but to also care for the person they are cleaning for.   She is highly respected as a hard working, loyal, loving and caring person.  

We were deeply saddened to find out last week that  Claudia has been diagnosed with stage 3 stomach cancer.    She has begun 3 months of chemotherapy and is also expected to receive radiation as part of her treatment.   The hope is to shrink the tumor and allow a surgical procedure to remove part of her stomach which contains the cancer.    She has been hospitalized for 2 weeks and is expected to go home this week after receiving her first chemo treatment. 

Her current hospital stay should be covered from her insurance however, her cancer treatments will not be.   The money raised from her Go Fund Me account will be used to pay for her cancer treatments and pending surgery.    

Claudia is a strong woman of faith and is facing the challenge ahead with the love of God and a determined spirit.   Any monetary donation is deeply appreciated.   With or without a donation, we ask to place  Claudia in your prayers.    To know her is to realize what matters most  are the relationships we have with each other and prayer is powerful.
