Caring For Aging Parents-FREE class for community

Hi, I am Michele Allen, the owner of Dear 2 My Heart Concierge Nursing. I've created this Go Fund Me fundraiser to assist in facilitating my Family Caregiver Bootcamp class in November for family caregivers from the NYC area in honor of National Family Caregiver Month. Your donations will help make this Bootcamp class FREE for the attendees. Specifically, your contributions will be used to book a venue to host the Bootcamp class.

What is the Family Caregiver Bootcamp?

As a home care nurse with over 15 years of experience in the industry, I noticed a change. Home attendant hours were/are becoming less and less, making the families of this aging population have to become more and more involved with caring for their aging loved ones. It didn't seem right, especially since the families were not given any education on caring for their aging loved ones after the home attendants left for the day. This need led to the birth of the Family Caregiver Bootcamp.

Things have gotten even worse for families with the onset of the Pandemic. Families are home watching their aging loved ones decline in their physical/mental state and have no idea where to start to help them.

The Bootcamp class was created to give family caregivers basic knowledge about caring for their aging loved ones. Knowledge they can use now and later on down the line. Attendees leave with more confidence and a better understanding in caring for their aging loved ones.
