After Her Wreck, Jordan Needs Help!

On the morning of Sunday, April 1, while driving from her home on narrow, curvy Waddell Creek Road, my friend Jordan Taylor crashed her car attempting to avoid a large truck rounding a corner straddling the center line. The truck likely did not see her accident at all and drove on. She had to wait for a passing motorist to assist her.
Jordan banged up her face on the steering wheel and received bruises on her sternum from the impact of the air bag and from the seat belt in her Ford Focus, which was totaled. She has been recuperating at home this week and is very sore but thankfully will be fine.
Just like that, however, Jordan's life is turned upside down. At 69 and living on a tiny social security income, Jordan let go of her collision insurance not long ago to reduce her bills. Due to a neurological condition, she retired at 65 and lives entirely on $900 per month.
Now Jordan is without the car she bought when she was still working and is depending upon the kindness of friends to borrow a car until she can replace hers. She has no savings for this, and she depends upon the tiny rental cabin 10 miles out of town to meet her budget.
Jordan and her predicament is so close to my heart, not only because she is a lovely and gracious woman, but because I have known many women like her who are in the same position: one accident or surgery away from real difficulties in spite of being frugal and so very careful.
I'd love to help raise $6000 so that Jordan can find a car like her clean little 2001 Ford Focus that would be a reliable and safe runner for her.
UPDATE: I've increased the fundraising goal to $6000 because if it's possible, it would be very helpful for Jordan to buy a reliable car she can use and maintain for years to come.
