Carey Scaccia's Cancer Expenses

On July 26th, 2018, Carey was diagnosed with Stage II Embryonic Carcinoma Cancer following surgery that had removed a 2 cm tumor.  The cancer has since spread to his left paraaortic lymph node.  He is currently undergoing chemotherapy and has completed 3 weeks thus far with 6 weeks remaining.  After completing chemotherapy, he will undergo additional PET scans to determine future treatments.

Since Carey's diagnosis, he has been denied short-term disability benefits as well as benefits from a cancer insurance policy that he was paying into.  He has also used all of his vacation and sick leave from employment and will now have to go through the remainder of his cancer treatments without income.  We do want to say thank you to his employer, Ridegway Plumbing, and all of his coworkers for all of their support and donations!

Carey has started to receive the first of many medical bills that will only continue over the course of his treatment for the next several months.  In addition, he will be needing assistance to cover his household and living expenses until he is able to start working again.  All funds raised will go towards these costs so that he can focus solely on his health during this difficult time.

Thank you for any contributions that you can make towards Carey's cause. We know that he will beat this cancer!  Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers <3
