Caregiving for Ma

Two months ago, my mom got seriously ill.

She suffered major 2 strokes, the first she recovered from well and decided it was time to retire from work (at 81 years old!). The second has left her needing 24/7 round the clock care.

She is in the hospital, but  will be coming home to my house next week. She needs caregiving and will be receiving in home nurse, doctor and rehab visits.

Her retirement is processing and I'm having to fight hard to do all the necessary applying of benefits to get her what she is entitled to.

In the meantime, the current month and next, I am underwater trying to fund her caregiving for when she arrives home.

If you didn't know: caregiving can cost $5-$10k a month.

I have 2 jobs plus I'm a single mom and her only child. I am now 100% responsible for loving my mom, taking care of her, funding care, medical expenses and making decisions for her.

I love my mom and will do anything for her, but it is hard to 'split' myself to more than once place at a time, so it's 100% necessary to provide caregiving help for when I am not around.

If you can help by donating some emergency funds, I thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

Parents should be able to be with their loved ones in the last leg of their journey on Earth.

Sincerely, Lynn
