Friends & Family,
As many of you are aware, my Uncle Paul, who is a Vietnam War Veteran has courageously been battling cancer for years. In October of 2021, my cousin Paul Jr., with myself came to the decision to move him back home to Missouri City. This move has allowed us to provide loving care to him for the past nine months along with the assistance or our siblings, Caco and Dina.
Recently, hospice has been brought in to provide him comfort. Although he is in hospice care, he is still in good spirits, and making jokes with us. Other than normal aches and pains for a man his age with his diagnosis, he is doing well. Between the four of us and other family, we have been providing the required 24 hour, around the clock care for him. Unfortunately, the time has come where we all have to accept that we need a healthcare professional.
The VA has provided 13 hours of caregiving per week. We need to hire a qualified professional to care for him the remainder of the time that is not covered by hospice or VA. We are asking for any amount of donations to help us provide the necessary care for Uncle Paul. We truly appreciate you taking the time to read about our family and situation.
Thank you.
