Care Package Initiative — Lebanon

Care Package Lebanon is a word-of-mouth initiative aiming to bring the local community together in the service of its destitute members.
Due to the impact of COVID-19 on an already battered economy, close to 50% of Lebanese citizens have found themselves unemployed, while the minority who still have a job are getting paid half of their monthly salary in the constantly-devalued Lebanese pound. As hyperinflation rages on, more than half of the population are struggling to afford food and basic necessities.
Did you know that $70 per week can help sustain a family of four? So far, we have been able to help 15 families in need and are looking to exponentially increase our outreach.
With the help from your generous donations, we can continue to provide underprivileged individuals with the basic needs that every human being deserves. Items in our care package parcel include food products, face masks, detergents, and personal hygiene equipment to name a few. We also take pride in sourcing our items from local shops and pharmacies. We believe in contributing to the uniqueness of a community and building up local entrepreneurs.
Care Package is the brainchild of two high-school friends. We are not affiliated, associated, authorized, endorsed by, or in any way connected to any local political faction/religious group/ideology. We are a group of self-organized, eco-conscious individuals aiming to contribute back to our society by taking responsibility and action for our local community.
