<div>On October 5th, Jose got a phone call that no parent ever wants to get. His son had been one of the children in the vehicle that got into an accident with a cement truck over in Ottawa County.
</div>
<div>His son was rushed to Helen DeVos Children’s hospital where he remained hospitalized until October 14th. He suffered two broken legs but is currently at home healing.
</div>
<div>In addition to caring for his son at home, Jose is also trying to be there for the youngest child that was also in the accident. He is still in the hospital at this time facing very severe injuries.
</div>
<div>Anybody who knows Jose will tell you that he is extremely kind and works hard. We just want to be able to relieve some of the financial burden during this difficult time so he is able to concentrate on the kids. Jose has already had to take some time off work and will most likely need to take more time off in the near future. Not to mention all the extra expenses that come with traveling to and from the hospital and additional medical expenses.

<div>Somos Paola y Mindy. Estamos buscando ayuda para nuestro amigo y compañero de trabajo, quien nos ha dado su consentimiento para crear esta campaña de recaudación de fondos (GoFundMe) en beneficio suyo y de su familia.

<div>El 5 de octubre, Jose recibió una llamada que ningún padre desea recibir jamás: su hijo fue uno de los menores que viajaba en un vehículo involucrado en un accidente con un camión de cemento en el condado de Ottawa. Su hijo fue trasladado de urgencia al Hospital Infantil Helen DeVos, donde permaneció internado hasta el 14 de octubre. Sufrió fracturas en ambas piernas, pero actualmente se encuentra en casa recuperándose. Además de cuidar a su hijo en casa, Jose también está brindando apoyo al otro menor que iba en el vehículo durante el accidente; este niño aún permanece hospitalizado debido a lesiones de gran gravedad.

<div>Quienes conocen a Jose saben que es una persona sumamente amable y trabajadora. Nuestro único objetivo es aliviar un poco la carga económica durante este momento tan difícil, para que él pueda concentrarse en los niños. Jose ya ha tenido que ausentarse de su trabajo y, muy probablemente, necesitará tomar más tiempo libre en un futuro cercano. A esto se suman los gastos adicionales derivados de los traslados al hospital, así como otros costos médicos imprevistos.
