Care for Copper

Donation protected
On Feb-16-18, we had a fire on our farm. The only building that caught fire was our barn. We were not home at the time and are so thankful to neighbors for catching in time before is spread to other buildings or the house. Sadly, we lost 3 cats and a dog, the only survivor was Copper. He is a Redbone Coonhound that is 6 yrs old. Copper has had some hard cards delt to him, he was born with nerve damage to hind end so he can't control when he potties (reason he lived in the barn), his mom died when he was a week old and I bottle fed him and 3 brothers. He got too curious around a porcupine once and spent a few days at the vet then too. He now has severe burns to his face and back from the fire. The vets have been able to treat and care for him and are hopeful for his future. He has been at the vet for a week now and is expected to stay there for about another week and half and will have home meds and treatment when he comes home too. As you can imagine the vet bills are high and with loosing the barn with other loved pets , supplies, and small equipment in it, money is a little tight right now. Copper has always been and continues to be a sweet and gentle dog that's just wants the sit in your lap and get pets as often as he can. Even through all this he is a kind soul and being such a good boy. Please, if you can help Care for Copper we'd be so grateful. Thank you.
