Care for Cassie (Kick Crohn's)

Donation protected
Meet Cassie Babakarkhil, a 28yr old wife, mother of 2, fabulous friend, and a 20+ year Crohn's disease warrior.

Now...Imagine being told by doctors to write a bucket list in your late 20's, as the Crohn's you've battled for 20+ years may just be winning the fight.

What would you wish for? Other than time, I'd dream of taking my two toddlers to Disneyland; paying down the mortgage so they'll always have a roof over their heads; going on the honeymoon that couldn't be afforded or maybe just enough for a great big party to celebrate life so far.

....join Cassie in her war with this insidious disease now.

Please donate what you can & let's try to take the grind out of life for awhile, let memorable moments blossom & lifetime memories imprint.

For those who want to know more about my great mates story, please read below.

Cassie was diagnosed with Crohn's when she was only 7 years old.
This terrible disease causes the body's immune system to attack the entire digestive system and is extremely debilitating, leading to chronic pain and malnutrition, with inflammation and ulcerations spread deep into the bowl. Not only do Crohn's sufferers learn to live with what most healthy people would consider an intolerable pain, they also have to live life, making plans but never knowing when things may take a turn for the worse, knowing that they are carrying with them a disease for which there is no cure. Knowing that there are so many life threatening complications for which they are at risk.
For over twenty years Cassie has soldiered on, trying an endless list of treatments, some of which have helped for a short while, but many that her body has not responded to at all.
In all of this she has remained the most positive, inspirational, caring soul. She is one of those people who lights up a room, who always has time for another's struggle, even when she is facing a battle all of her own.
Cassie has two beautiful children, Inaaya, 2, and Zayd, 1, to whom she is the absolute world. In March this year she married the love of her life Mohman. Just as they are stepping into this next chapter together, at what should be one of the most exciting and happiest times for a young, loving family, with the nothing but all their dreams to build... Cassie's Crohn's has decided to rear its ugly head again and this time it seems Cassie's body is trying to win the fight.

Unfortunately after years and years of treatment and surgeries it has come to a point where the last metre of Cassie's small intestine is now deteriorating and will need to be removed. Once this is removed cassie will be hooked up to a machine for hours each night that will feed her nutrients to keep her body going for a questionable amount of time. Unfortunately this type of treatment is one that will change her quality of life drastically and once she's on this she won't be able to leave the country, travel, go out at night. It is unsure how long her body will be able to survive this way.

It is absolutely heartbreaking to see this disease strike such a beautiful soul. At such a young age, to be told to plan for a life, that has nothing but a question mark over it... knowing that your options are running out and there may not be a way to stop the disease from progressing to that final, dangerous stage... that everything you have spent the last few years building could be cut short in a moment.... to have to think that you may not be there to see your children when they start school for the first time, that you may not get to grow old with the person you promised your life too... that suddenly time is slipping through the hourglass and there is nothing your doctors can do... as Cassies's friends we are desperate to share some of this load.
It always seems that the best people are dealt the unkindest hand, but together we can give love and support, and help make this time a little less burdensome and hopefully reignite the hope and strength that we know Cassie has within her!! Together, let's kick Crohn's!!
