Care for Carebear

In August 2020, Carolyn was diagnosed with Stage 3c Ovarian Cancer. In less than 6 months, she’s gone from vibrant and hard-working to being hospitalized and fully dependent. Along with ongoing chemotherapy treatment, Carolyn now needs a feeding tube in order to eat. Our family needs help raising funds to give her the special food she needs in addition to covering the growing medical expenses associated with her diagnosis.

Carolyn was scheduled to have her third round of chemo before her scheduled surgery that includes removing the two large masses in her abdominal cavity. However, complications arose which led to her being hospitalized.  Carolyn needs to finish her third round of chemotherapy, have the surgery and continue with three more rounds of chemotherapy for her treatment to be complete.

She started a 501c(3) organization, The New You Christian Center, to continue the work she started many years ago. She embraced each child as her own and and gave them a safe space to be a kid. Her family gave her the nickname “Carebear” because of her kindness and selflessness towards others.

Without your help, Carolyn will be left to fend for herself without adequate medical attention.  No matter the size of your donation, each gift will help us reach our initial goal of $12,000.
