After my last update our daughter Raylien crashed. She started having trouble breathing. The nurses were very responsive and were treating her symptoms systematically. As they worked to make her feel better Raylien suddenly coded. Code Blue was announced and a team worked on Raylien for over 45 minutes. Unfortunately it seems a large blood clot entered her heart and they were unable to revive her. The world lost a good heart. We lost our beloved daughter. Although it seems to much to bare at this moment. I know she is in a better place. Waiting on her family to join her in heaven.

But please be aware that any donations will now be used to help in lingering medical cost, burial or funeral arrangements and to help with travel and transfer cost. Raylien was attending UC Davis in the Sacramento area. She would have earned her degree this fall after many years of schooling. She did manage to put under her belt a couple of Associates Degrees on her Academic journey. Raylien wanted nothing more than to make us proud by earning her last degree. We have always been proud of her. In our Eyes she accomplished that last degree. From her hospital bed she was still trying to make arrangements to somehow complete her last class. Raylien touched many lives in her short life. Those she touched all love her dearly. She will never be forgotten.

We greatly appreciate all the prayers, love and support. Raylien’s last days were spent knowing nothing but that love and support from everyone. She is resting now in peace. Our last memory of her will be her lying there sleeping with a hint of a smile.

My 31-year-old daughter, Raylien Young, is a struggling college student at UC Davis who had to have an emergency open heart surgery after suddenly falling ill with an infection that destroyed two of her heart valves. If she would not have went to the hospital when she did, she would have died. It’s been a terrifying and nightmarish ordeal that has made me realize how delicate each and every one of our lives really is. This infection struck a healthy young college student at the prime of her life. Thanks to the medical care and surgery she had at Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, she’s on the long and hard road to recovery. Family is having to travel to Northern California to assist in her care, due to her being unable to travel. Medical bills are starting to pile up despite her having health insurance. Could you please help Raylien get through this greatest challenge of her life, by donating what you can to her gofundme account. Our family would be forever grateful.
