<div>I will be running my first Cardiff half marathon at the start of October, all funds raised will be donated to Moroccan animal rescue in memory of Lenny. This is a charity close to mine and my partners heart as we have seen first hand the amazing work they do.

<div>Lenny’s story:

<div>Whilst holidaying in Morrocco last year, we found a tiny kitten (we named Lenny) on the beach abandoned by his mother, extremely malnourished and lifeless. It became obvious he was in need of urgent veterinary care.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We gave him food &amp; water and cared for him the best we could overnight whilst contacting countless rescue centres in the hope they could help. It became clear that they were under funded and over run with animals in need, there are reportedly over 9 million stay animals in Morocco.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Fortunately, we found Corrina who is originally from the UK but works and lives in Morocco, as well as rescuing injured animals off the streets. Corrina works full time as a teacher as well as relying on donations to care, feed and cover essential vet bills. She explained that she only rescues injured animals and once they have received the care they need from the vets, she keeps them at home on her land! (Each and everyone!) She planned to do the same for Lenny.

<div>Corrina collected Lenny and gave him the best chance, he was taken straight to the vets where he received care for malnutrition which was triggering seizures. 
</div>

<div>A couple of days later, Lenny went home with Corrina and spent his last days being cared for in a loving home.  Unfortunately Lenny suffered a major seizure through the night which resulted in him passing away. 
</div>

<div>Despite this tragic ending, we are grateful to Corrina for providing him the best chance and care. We would love to raise money to help Corrina continue this amazing work.
