Cardenden Scout Hall Fire

Cardenden Scout Group were devastated to learn our beloved hall was on fire on 11th February 2019. The Fire service were quickly on scene, the hall will be out of Commision for some time so we are looking into alternatives so we can remain open to all 3 sections.
Beaver's, Cub's and Scout's have been left with the loss of all off our equipment, we have upcoming events and Camp's and although we can relocate our Sections to another facility, we won't have our own belongings which are imperative for us to provide our programs. The Children work towards achievement, gaining Badges and recognition for the life skills they learn.  The news has been sad for the children to learn.
The Leaders and Executive members had been busy fundraising. Work to the outside of our Hall was due to start with Disabled ramps and pathway maintenance . We recently managed to upgrade our facilities with new disabled toilets and a new Kitchen, we secured Grants and Fundraised along with the Children to fit new Windows, Central Heating, Insulation and even a new Mini Bus. To have all our hard work gone in one evening, leaving all we have achieved for our Community hall badly burnt,  water & smoke damaged. 
We are one of the oldest Scout Groups in our District, Scouting has played a huge part in the Village for over 90 years, our hall was donated by the Coal Miners.  
We are asking for your help, although it is too early to assess the full extent of the damage we have a huge task to replace everything in our hall/meeting rooms/store cupboard.  Firstly to provide the essentials to the Beaver's, Cub's and Scout's so we can continue to operate.
We know this is a huge task, we would like to thank everyone for their ever growing support. We will keep our Scouting families and you the public updated on our Journey.
