Cardboard mattress. Dreams so vain

Truly I don't intend for this fundraiser to get attention any further than my current circle of friends and supporters, but just in-case I'll make a brief introduction.

Hello, I'm Thomas. Above is my dog Zeus. For nearly a decade we were Street homeless up and down the UK. It's funny, when I was around 12 my Dad asked what I wanted to be when I was older; I told him I wanted to be a beggar, i thought I was only joking... Evidently not.

I don't want to bore you, so I'll cut to the chase, i slowly spiralled down into deep depression, I was alive just for my dog; one day we passed through Billingham in the North East & decided to stay, many loved us, some hated us.

Having had a bucket of water thrown at us by an Aldi manager , and later preventing a burglary of a charity shop , we became quite well known. No one knew I was close to suicide, but the kindness and love of my new neighbours kept me alive.

Finally I found my way off the streets having been unexpectedly welcomed back into my family home, 2 months later I decided to explain my sudden disappearance to my loving community, and decided it would be apt to ask for "spare change" one last time (although I actually only ever asked 3 people for change).

Firstly, you should definitely not donate me anything. Christmas is around the corner, I can no longer be seen as in some unfortunate dire situation, surely the needs of others not to mention yourself and your kin far outweigh mine. I have a Roof, clothes, food, safety & security. I have all the basic necessities & to want for more is sheer greed.

I am no longer a street homeless 'beggar', in fact I am so massively blessed to be back home with family. Please do not feel obliged to be generous even if you have been before to me, my circumstances are different, if you are to donate make sure you're aware of what my intentions are & don't give at the detriment of yourself. If you are stretched for money please just close this page because some of my reasons might just tempt you to feel you have no choice and that's not good!

What will I carelessly spend funds on?
1. A gift for my mum.
2. A suitable, impossible to destroy, toy for zeus.
3. Headphones
4. A computer good enough to draft a book & other stuff on
5. Karate lessons (I'm 1st Ryu belt, one step down from black belt, it's been a while though...)
6. A few gifts for my homeless friends
7. An even better bed for zeus (sheepskin)
8. Materials to construct an even better dog coat for Zeus (I'm thinking hard leather, wool, etc)
9. Gym membership
10. A Ferrari, a world cruise, 5 horses & a packet of gold plated prawn cocktail crisp. (I am absolutely not joking, honestly)

As you can see, generally this money is for myself and my dog. While I do aim to do some grassroots community work around homelessness, other than the computer this fundraiser is not for that, it is just for a few non-essentials and comfort things that help make up for the years of being essentially without anything, to conclude I am definitely audacious beyond measure & you should keep your hardearned cash to yourself :)
