Fundraising for Caravan4Justice

Caravan 4 Justice is a grassroots campaign dedicated to educating, organizing and mobilizing our community. The incredibly gifted founder is named Tia and she has been instrumental in the formation of this organization, recruiting members, organizing events, and showing her compassionate solidarity for her community of Long Beach. My name is Jessica and I help with voter registration and fundraising!


 
Our focus is bringing awareness to social injustice and police brutality, educating the community of Long Beach on local politics and elections, and recruiting new voters by organizing voter registration drives.

We also hold social-distancing caravan parades through Long Beach to promote the support for #BlackLivesMatter movement by driving through Long Beach in caravans and showing the community of Long Beach that we are allies in the road to justice.  Our first caravan on Saturday June 6th was a resounding success, with hundreds of people coming out of their homes to show support on the sidewalk and even cars joining in on the caravan. It was a wonderful day full of smiles and a grand feeling of unity with the community of Long Beach.



What will we use the funds for?

Currently, we are seeking some small financial donations to help with various costs and upkeep of our grassroots campaign. We are looking to purchase a few more bullhorns, posters and supplies for protests, voter registration supplies, renting vans to help transport activists and allies to our caravan parades, and supplies to help fund outreach classes to inform and educate the Long Beach community on local politics, and more.
