Starting dialysis soon, need car repaired.

Hello. My name is Karen. I am 56 years old and I live with my husband, Patrick who is 66.  We’re on a fixed income due to my disability and my husband’s  retirement.  We are currently living in a motel because we had to move from our apartment of 16 years due to the landlord increasing the rent. We had no where else to go on such short notice so we ended up losing everything we owned and moving into a motel bringing just what fit in our small car.  

I have been sick for a long time and have been in and out of the hospital  six times in this past year alone.  Recently learning that I’ll  be needing regular dialysis. I’m in the hospital at the moment and I am receiving treatment for kidney failure.

I am capable of driving and I do have a car but in the past year it has been breaking down. It failed inspection and I have put good money after bad trying to get it to pass. Now in the last week I have another issue with the exhaust breaking. 

Dialysis will require me to drive there three times a week. I can not drive that car anymore. I need a car that I can depend on. I’m not picky. If it runs and passes inspection I will be happy .  

I’m hoping that I can get a little help to get  another car. We can put a little money towards it but for the most part our checks covers the rent for our room with little left over.  We  would also be happy if we could get our car we have fixed instead.  Personally, I don’t think it’s anything too expensive but it’s all the little things combined and my husband is not mechanically inclined .  

So that is my situation at the moment. If you can help in ANY way.  I would be so appreciative.
