Car fund for Luigi (Hurr. Harvey)

Como ustedes saben debido al Huracán Harvey, hemos sufrido una severa inundación en Houston. He perdido todo los bienes dentro de mi departamento rentado que estaba en el primer piso en los departamentos del conjunto Vizcaya ubicado justo al lado del reservorio de Addicks (Barker Cypress y I-10).

Fue mandatario evacuar, perdiendo de este modo mi ropa, zapatos, medicinas , mi computadora, muebles, y electrodomésticos. Lo mas importante es que perdí mi vehículo , y solo tenia el seguro básico (liability) para cubrir a terceros. De esta manera me he quedado sin medio de transporte y no tengo como movilizarme. Todos conocemos que Houston es una ciudad en la que si no dispones de un carro no puedes hacer nada.

Adicionalmente, me quede sin empleo debido a la crisis del petróleo y lo único que me quedaba lo perdí con esta inundación.

Solicito su ayuda y colaboración para poder empezar de nuevo. Gracias por su generosidad y solidaridad.

Hey everyone! As you know, Hurricane Harvey came thru Houston and left behind major devastation. I ended up losing all my belonging in my apartment on the first floor (located on I-10 and Barker Cypress behind the Addicks reservoir, Vizcaya Apartments).

Water levels got dangerously high and we had to evacuate. I left behind my clothes, shoes, computer, furniture… basically everything! The most important loss has been my car due to the flooding. With only liability coverage, my insurance won’t help me replace it. Not a having a car in Houston makes it a challenge to go anywhere especially when trying to find work and get ahead.

To pile thing on, I lost my job due to the oil crisis. The one tool, my car, that would help me move forward is now gone.

I kindly ask that you open your heart and help me thru this difficult time. Thanks in advance for your generosity and solidarity.
