CAR ACCIDENT spinal cord injury

Nana pre-accident with her beautiful set of teeth.

On April 28, 2017 Ariauna "Nana" Haas was involved in a terrible car accident on her way to visit her Aunt in Reno, NV.  Her tire blew, her car rolled, and she was ejected from the vehicle.  The situation did not look hopeful, at all. She broke her neck (had C2-C4 fusion), broke her spine (L6, L7 surgery), most of her facial bones, including both mandibles (having metal plates inserted in her cheeks and jaw wired shut). She had an emergency trach inserted and later on a 2nd one.  All we could do was wait. She slowly gained movement in her legs, but no feeling or movement in her upper body. After 5 weeks in the hospital in Reno, she was transferred to the incredible Casa Colina in Pomona, CA. Nana now has upper body  movement and is able to feed herself.  With the wonderful care and treatment at Casa Colina, Nana is now WALKING!!! On her own! No walker! She has come an amazing distance from her first diagnosis. Family and friends are thankful to God. Just the fact that she had no brain damage, at all, was a miracle.  Now that she is well on her way to recovery, her one wish is to have that beautiful smile back. She needs an implant and a cap, as she lost a few teeth in the accident. She also needs leg braces to help steady her walking, as well as many assistive technology items since her hands are still not 100% functioning.  Any amount you would be able to help her with she would be so appreciative.  Thank you in advance!!!
