I have had the pleasure of knowing Ward for many years, as many of you. I consider myself a personal friend of Ward’s, as well as a client. I fish with Ward in the Everglades as well as Central America (Costa Rica). In fact the last trip to the Everglades was Memorial Day Weekend, 2017...
I was lucky enough to be on a trip with Ward and others, when Ward caught the World Record Pacific Black Snook, Costa Rica.
We have all admired Ward’s fishing skills, as well as navigation skills in the Glades keeping us all safe, and looking forward to our next trip to this wonderful place.
Now Captain Ward and his family need our help. Recently Hurricane Irma really whacked SW Florida and especially Chokoloskee and Everglades City, Florida...as these two towns took the brunt of Irma’s fury.
Ward’s business is suffering from Hurricane Irma in a major way, such as the following:
1. His boat lift is completely destroyed
2. Damage to his personal house in Chokoloskee
3. Lower room and contents, Ice Maker, etc.
4. New screen porch, just remodeled
5. Business revenue loss, as his charters for the remaining months of the year has been cancelled.
The funds raised, especially will be used to rebuild or replace the boat lift, as the lift is unusable. If funds are available, after the boat lift is repaired, Items lost, like the Ice Maker will be replaced. Your donations will help the business to get back on it’s feet with a “Sound Footing”.
I am only only organizing the campaign. I do not receive any of the funds. In fact, Wardy has been set up through a process provided by GoFundMe, to be the sole Beneficiary of funds raised. When Ward is ready to redraw the funds donated, he will provide his own Checking Account Number and routing number to GoFund Me, for redrawing his own funds.....no one else....
The Everglades will return to its natural beauty with God’s Grace....
Ward’s business will continue to grow and overcome this disaster.
