Help Save Capone’s Life! Urgent

We reached 50% of our goal, and Capone is in recovery- the vet expects us to be able to take him home by Tuesday! We urge you to PLEASE continue to donate and share and help us get there! He's halfway there we just need a little push- I've updated the final bill as of today and all of the offline donations we recieved since moving to the specialist. Story:
I hope to reach out to anyone with a heart for animals who can help us on our last chance to save Capone. Capone is a rare Bohemian Shepherd. I've had him since he was two months old, he's only 7 years old now.  We rescued in Egypt and has travelled the world with us since then. There isn't one person who met him that hasn't fallen in love with his beautiful spirit. He's probably saved our lives a million times as we walked through the streets from Chicago to Cairo to London. He's extremely sick and just went through an urgent surgery and might be going through another one now with a specialist. They require a lump sum up front in order to start or will be REFUSED the treatment he NEEDS. Money isn't everything but in this case it means saving his life. Please help in any way you can. Most recent update on Capone (17/01/2018):

Thankfully Capone is much more stable now- his toxin levels are decreasing and he is actually able to walk around, even giving us his paw and sitting on command. <3 However, he is unable to urinate on his own, and now the catheter is no longer able to fit as he has a bit of swelling. The vet informed us that they will need to attach the catheter directly into his bladder through a more invasive method, but that it will allow him to reduce the swelling and attempt to urinate on his own. Once that happens there is a huge chance he can come home in the next week, which is a massive step from the "50/50 chance of survival" we had ony a week ago.

The downside is that this method will bring our bill back up to £10k and prolong the time he needs to recover from the procedure, as they need to administer anesthesia, do imaging, and pay for the equipment/resources/stay at the hospital (the Royal Veterinary College's Queen Mother Hospital for Animals in Potters Bar). We currently have promised donations offline of around £3000, meaning we still have another £7000 or so to go. We absolutely will not give up on Capone, and now that he has begun healing, putting him down for the sake of money is not an option. We understand the bill is incredibly high, however we have no choice at this stage but to keep fundraising and appeal to anyone who can help. After all, people have raised much more for much less, so we have hopes in our friends, family and the community.

Again, we urge you to please help us by donating anything you can whenever you can, and if you absolutely cannot donate, please continue to share this campaign. An update on Capone's situation (11/01/2018)

First of all we would like to thank everyone who donated and shared Capone's fundraising campaign. Thanks to the fundraising efforts both online and offline, and a few loans from family, we were able to pay £3,885 for Capone to be released from the first hospital (The Royal Veterinary College's Beaumont Sainsbury Animal Hospital) and transported to the second hospital (The Royal Veterinary College's Queen Mother Hospital for Animals) where a specialist has received him.

The situation now is that Capone's remaining kidney is working on overdrive to function at its utmost, and the infection he has in his kidney had spread to his bladder, with small growths appearing in his lungs. He is currently on antibiotics, a catheter as he cannot urinate on his own (which is worsening the infection) and various other medicine/pain killers. It is not clear exactly what is going on with his lungs and how the infection is progressing, but he is undergoing every test and imaging available. Today he has been showing signs of stability, meaning there is still hope.

We got to visit Capone during visiting hours and he is finally able to sit upright and took a few bites of dog food after the vet gave him medicine to increase his appetite, however he is clearly very uncomfortable as he fights his infection and under a lot of medicine. I have attached photos of him for all of our supporters.

Although this is a huge step forward, the vet has quoted us £5,000-8,000 for the next step in his course of treatment, and requires a downpayment of half the cost (at least £2,500) to continue treating him. We urge anyone who can help us to please donate. We have a lot of people sharing, but if each person who shared also donated at least £10, we would already have at least £2,000 for this down payment. Please, please skip that next cup of coffee or takeout burger and donate it to help save Capone. We are eternally grateful for everyone's efforts, and we hope we can bring Capone home soon. <3

Story: Capone was recently struck by an infection that our  previous vet didn't detect. It became so severe that one of his kidneys failed and his prostate was badly infected too.  They ended up having to remove one of his kidneys as well as his prostate, but now the hospital won't let him be transferred to a specialist unless we pay a total of 7,500 GBP from a grander total of 10,000 GBP in the next two days.

This is a CRAZY AMOUNT to have to gather in only a few days, but we need this money today so please please help us save Capone.  Trying to afford this alone is straight up impossible especially as we're only recent college graduates.  Any help at all would be INCREDIBLY appreciated. He is a son to us and we can’t imagine a world without him. A little can go the longest way.  And please if you can't donate yourself share with those who can to help us save our dearest Capone.
