Help Capone get surgery to improve his breathing!

UPDATE: Capone will need 2 surgical procedures that they want to do when we take him in to get neutered. This is to alleviate his breathing issues and decrease the chance of aspiration. At this point, he cannot way dry dog food and I have to hand feed him soft food in the shape of a meatball to ensure that he won’t aspirate food into his lungs. He is also on a treatment plan including antibiotics and other medications, as well as using steam to help break up secretions. Each time he eats, drinks, vomits and/or coughs, he risks aspirating. Without any complications, this can cost anywhere from $3-6,000 depending on his recovery. If there are complications, I am not sure how much it will cost. And since he has pneumonia, no pet insurance will cover the surgeries. This is causing so much stress on all of us, financially and emotionally. Including Parker, she doesn’t understand all the guidelines we have to follow and that she can’t feed him. So, I am asking for help to get him to a point where he can breathe without difficulty, play, enjoy time outdoors without overheating so easily, and have a better quality of life. I wish we could do this all on our own, but unfortunately we have had a stretch of bad luck with 3 of our dogs making it very difficult on us. img src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/48286114_1590348519797916_r.jpeg" width="100%" media_type="3" alt="" />Capone is our baby. He is only 5 months, and already such a great companion, so sweet, and my daughters best buddy. He developed aspiration pneumonia and had to stay at Purdue Emergency Vet last weekend for almost 36 hours. We brought him back home on a Saturday, was doing better.  Then on Thursday morning, he started back with the same symptoms so I took him back to Purdue. The initial estimate for this stay was $2500-3500 and that was for an expected stay of 2-3 days. It is now Sunday, and they are still not able to wean him from oxygen. He has been on oxygen and IV antibiotics since he was admitted Thursday, and he has been treated in ICU and the Internal Medicine department.  The staff has told us that the procedure to obtain a sample for a culture is too risky at this point and they are continuing the same treatment. They also said it can be a long road until he is fully recovered.  So, we are looking at at least $5,000 in total for his stay at Purdue. If you know us, you know we love our dogs just like they are family.  Our pets were all we had until we had our daughter, our rainbow baby, who misses her “Pony” every day. I know times are tough for a lot of people right now, and we are not ones to ask for help...but we can’t do this without help.  This is more than we can handle at this time, so I gave in and started this gofundme to help ensure that we will get to bring our sweet baby boy home. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and please share.
