These 12 amazing softball players and their coaches earned a spot in the Babe Ruth World Series which will be held in Jensen Beach, Florida, July 28- Aug 5th, 2017.
Now we need your help to get them to Florida!!!
The Cedar Mill Group Capital Area Cyclones have gone 28-1 this tournament season and are the NH State Champions as well as the New England Regional Champions!
We are fundraising to cover the cost of airfare, hotels, transportation and food for the 6 days they will be representing NH! The costs will be high but the rewards for these girls will be immeasurable.
Some fun facts about this group:
· 8 of 12 girls on this team were on the 2015 State Championship Team that also qualified for the World Series at the 8U level. At that time, it was decided they were too young to take to Florida. Now they are older and ready to go!
· Girl power is surging in the Capital Area: Two years ago, the Capital Area had 1 All Star team - the 8U level. In 2017 we have 5 All Star Teams from 8U level up to the 14U level.
· The Capital Area Softball League is made up of 9 different leagues represented by Concord NE, Concord American, Concord National, Bow, Hopkinton, Hooksett, Suncook, Merrimack Valley, and Chichester.
· Six of these nine leagues within the Capital Area Softball League are represented on this 10U All Star team.
· Tryouts for this team were in November of 2016. All 12 girls worked hard over the winter sharpening their skills while also playing another sport.
· Between the 5 coaches there is 33 years of coaching experience.
Please help us reach our goal to get the girls and their coaches to Florida!! We appreciate any donations and the funds will cover the players costs first, then the coaches.
