WE ARE ADOPTING

Donation protected
7 Years ago, today (October 9, 2010), we said "I Do." Today, we start a NEW ADVENTURE! Although Roxy started school again this week to become a nurse practitioner, this adventure has nothing to do with a career change, job promotion, or relocation.
Seven years ago, we thought we had life all figured out. We assumed we knew exactly where the future would take us. Studying medicine in college we thought we would travel the world, helping people through medical missions, as we grew a family together. Shortly after saying I do, our plans began to change as PJ accepted a role to become a full-time Student Pastor at Church in the Son.

Then, after a few years we realized that our family had not grown from two to three or four like we expected. Some of you may be aware that we have been struggling with infertility for the last five years. We have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours with fertility doctors. We have sent two babies to heaven through miscarriages. Adoption was always in the grand picture, but we thought it would be after having a few of our own first.

In January of 2017, we started to really consider adoption. We were talking about, praying about, and studying our options.

Today, we would like to share with you, on our Seventh Year Wedding Anniversary, the Canterbury's are starting the adoption process and we will be releasing a blog. This way you can join us on this journey.

We will be sharing monthly updates on our journey.

Adoption is a very expensive process, so if God lays it on your heart to partner with us, you can do so on this link. We want to share our story with you because we understand that even as Christians and pastors, we go through pain in life. We want to share our struggle with you, so that in the midst of your pain and struggle maybe you can find some encouragement.
As Paul said in Acts 26:2, "I think myself happy..." (KJV) and David says in 1 Samuel 30:6 ".... But, David Encouraged himself in the Lord." (KJV). We find ourselves doing this every day in the midst of our struggle, but we also know that Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

Thank you for reading and joining us on this journey!
