Can't catch a break

This weekend while driving up to Crescent City to visit our mother, my brother was in a motorcycle accident. The cause of the accident is still unknown as there is an investigation being done because he suffered minor memory loss and it appeared he may have been hit by another driver. He was thrown 15 ft from his bike and suffered a concussion, a broken foot, a broken leg, some dislocations and minor scraps and bruises. He's had one surgery where they put pins in his foot and leg and is due for at least 3 more. Due to the accident he is completely immobile and as the main bread winner he is unable to provide for his girlfriend and 3 year old daughter as well as afford costly medical expenses such as prescriptions not covered through insurance.
