Canoe Brook Service Staff COVID Relief Fund

It has clearly been a trying time as the quarantine weeks have now stretched into months. We hope that you and your families are healthy and safe. 

Several weeks ago, the Canoe Brook community came together to support our caddies, whom as independent contractors couldn't receive any of the Federal aid or state relief packages. The fund was an amazing success and a tribute to what   we can do when we pull together. 

With that in mind, there is another part of the Canoe Brook family that remains at risk and food insecure. As the club opens in stages, there are a number of other employees that may not be able to get on their feet for some time. These employees are the ones that make our club a welcome and wonderful place and   who often operate behind the scenes ensuring all of our family events are  nothing short of perfect. It's a diverse mix that includes wait and kitchen staff,  house staff and laundry. Like the caddies, many of these particular employees are also not eligible for Federal or state relief for various reasons. 

Please consider helping to take care of those that take care of us at the club by contributing to the Member-Service Staff COVID Assistance Fund.  While acknowledging that we may be starting to feel some charity fatigue, we still   want to make sure that we don't forget this great group of people. Participation is  completely voluntary and we understand that everyone is dealing with their own personal circumstances. That said, as the food minimums have been forgone, one way to think about a potential donation is to give a portion of what your minimum would have been. 

A small committee of members will ensure the funds get evenly distributed  among our 29 service staff employees  and their families.
