Our short film Good Night got accepted to the Short Film Corner at the Cannes Film Festival in France!
Four of us will be going to the festival. Brandon T. Gass (who is writing here) the writer, director, producer, cinematographer, and editor; Jessica Jimenez, the lead actress; Nick Check, an actor and close collaborator with Brandon; Taylor Rodriguez, another actor and close collaborator with Brandon. These are the four who would be benefitted by the campaign.
The film was made with no money, almost no production, and got into the Short Film Corner at Cannes -- which is itself one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. This is a dream come true for us! Cannes is one of the international hotspots for film marketing and making connections in the industry, so attending the festival would be an incredible opportunity to work toward careers in the film industry.
After the festival, we will be travelling to Ireland for one week. We plan on shooting several short film projects while in Cannes and Ireland. We think this would be a great opportunity for production value, experience, and most importantly: we love making films and want to every chance we get. Nick, Taylor, and Jessica can make that possible while we're travelling.
The funds for this campaign will be used for several things: plane tickets, lodging, food, train tickets, bus/taxi fairs, and extra money for emergencies.
We need to have all funds prepared by May 12.
Any help we can get would mean the world to us. For several young individuals to be able to go to Europe, engage in the film industry, see new countires, and work on new projects, would mean a great advancement in our own lives, as well as in our expertise going into the fields we aspire to.
Any support we can get for our Cannes trip would be incredibly appreciated by all of us, help our career opportunities and experience in the industry exponentially greater.
