One More Candle For Lane

Donation protected
Hey, Folks!  We all know our friend, Lane Baldwin, has been up to his eyeballs in health troubles lately.  It's been fifteen months since he went to the Emergency Room for emergency surgery regarding his major attack of diverticulitis, which degraded into gangrene in his colon.

After the repair, he had another surgery to reattach his colon.  Another month after that, he re-tore his colon and had to go under the knife again!

Since then, he's been in and out of the hospital to address follow up problems.  Lane now has a big one ahead of him, and he's going to need the help of all his friends to help offset the costs.

He needs major abdominal surgery to “install” more than a square foot of abdominal mesh to support the muscles.  Without it, Lane will be unable to work.  He's wading through the red tape of scheduling this surgery, and as you can probably imagine, money is the biggest part of this journey.

In his diminished capacity, he is not able to work enough to pay his bills.  He's been selling off personal property to keep things going.  He's even selling his custom-made Spector bass, and for a bassist, this is a pretty sad thing to have to do.

Friends, we must help Lane - if he doesn't get some cash flowing, he could end up homeless.  We do not want this to happen.

In the past, whenever someone has called upon Lane to help out, he's always been first man at the door.

Low Notes For Nashville – we raised almost $80,000 in gear and cash

Foodstock – raised over $75,000 in cash and food for food banks, and have fed more than $20,000 free meals to those in need.

He's also participated in Feeding the Homeless projects, and performed at Benefit Concerts to help others, including children with cancer.

Let's all think about the wonderful things Lane does for others, and then ask what we can do for him.

Give what you can, but try to give something.  I've had some pretty terrible times in my life, too, but never like this.  My friends and family, whether immediate or extended, have always helped me.  I can never pay them back in cash, but I can EARN what they have done for me by extending a hand to others in trouble.
