<div>30 years ago, a group of interested volunteers borrowed $10,000 at 10% interest to start a community based nursery. The aim was to conserve local native plants, encourage revegetation and regeneration to provide habitat for local wildlife and enhance biodiversity.

<div>Within 5 years the nursery had won local and national awards for our contribution to the local environment and community and had become financially viable. In those 30 years, we have educated and inspired many thousands of people across 3 council areas to get involved in protecting and enhancing our precious local environment.

<div><strong>After 30 years of successfully achieving our objectives, Covid struck and almost destroyed our community organisation; we need your help NOW to survive! </strong>

<div>We have skilled seed-collectors and plant-growers, a dedicated team of enthusiastic volunteers and <strong>tens of thousands of low-cost, local native plants to sell, BUT </strong>we urgently need a cash life-line to keep our doors open and regain the ground lost during Covid.

<div>Our volunteer workforce is made up of retirees and people working full-time, those seeking work experience in the field of indigenous horticulture, elderly people, people with disabilities, and some who are socially isolated. They all share a passion for our local bushland and the nursery represents a significant positive endeavour that has given meaning and purpose to their lives over many years.

<div>We are an independent community-based and community-run organisation with no financial support from any other organisation. Our overheads are crippling us at present as we were unable to sell or maintain our plants and facilities during the Covid-lockdowns.
