Jim Fishers fight against cancer

Donation protected
Hello I'm Christina Fisher and I want to share this because my husband, best friend unexpectedly fell ill. James Fisher my loving husband was diagnosed with colon cancer. On the 20th of June he had a routine colonoscopy. I was call back so the dr. could talk to the both of us. At that moment our lives have changed completely. Life as we have known has come to a screeching stop. One week later the pathology came back as colon cancer. The CT showed it being about an inch.  On the second day of July he has surgery. The surgery was to take two an half hours. Three hours in a nurse came out to tell me he was doing okay and they were a bit half way done. The surgery was more complicated than expected. Five an half hours later the Dr. came to talk to me. The cancer was a bit bigger than a tennis ball. It had grown out of the colon and attached to everything in his abdomen. He was able to successfully remove it without harming the bladder and liver. He all the lymph nodes around the colon that was removed. James was in the hospital for a week. Each day got better for him. On the 8th of July he came home. The following Thursday we met with the dr. again. The Dr. told us the cancer has spread throughout his Lymph Nodes and most likely other places. James will be going in for a pet scan to see were else the cancer has gone other than the lymph nodes. Than a port will be surgically placed in his chest. Chemo will start shortly after those thing are done. We are in need as soon as possible. His first appointment is for August 5th. The funds will help us out tremendously. Jim is not able to work at this time with no estimated time to go back to work. As of now we have a hospital bill of $5,000. Other cost of $4,000 and estimated cost for Travel at $1,200 or more. We just so happened to live 100 mile from the nearest cancer treatments. We are still have the responsibility to our regular housing bills. Jim has about one month left on his paid extended leave. When it runs out we'll have no income. He filled for hardship it will help by keeping his ins. and job without pay.
