Melecho passed away peacefully on 11/14/2020. His Celebration of Life service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Lakewood Memorial Park in Hughson, CA. The service will be outdoors. Masking and social distancing protocols will be observed.

Melecho was unexpectedly diagnosed mid-July 2020 with Adenocarcinoma cancer of the stomach. This was devastating news, especially because Melecho and the love of his life, Terra, are expecting a baby boy in the next few months. The couple is very hardworking, but due to the severity of his symptoms and Terra's high-risk pregnancy, they are both unable to work and were placed on disability. This extreme financial strain is also compounded by previous loss of income due to the pandemic. Additionally, Melecho will be losing his medical insurance by the end of the month, and the family will be forced to pay high premiums for Corba. Even with insurance coverage, they expect to have high out-of-pocket costs for treatment. The money raised will be used for medical bills, travel for treatment out of town, and everyday expenses for the family.Melecho is staying positive through this crisis, and the family continues to lean on their strong faith during this time. We would like to support the family by fundraising for medical assistance to ensure that Melecho's health and recovery is their primary focus. The family is so appreciative of the outpouring of love and support and look forward to sharing good news throughout this journey.
