Cancer Treatment & Carbon Dioxide

I am constantly undergoing treatment for cancer.  I just found out the cancer spread to my brain and will need radiation.  I also have ongoing chemo for the cancer that spread to my lungs and liver.

I am working full-time in order to have health insurance and pay bills as Mike continues to look for a job.  (Update:  Mike started new job today.)

On top of that, the gas company was out this morning.  The carbon dioxide levels in our home are high, so they turned off the gas.  It cannot be turned on until we replace the entire HVAC system.  That means no heat during these cold months.

As you can imagine, this is detrimental to my health.  Being in the cold is not safe, nor is the carbon dioxide level.

Due to the protracted unemployment situation, we got behind on our house payments for 3 months, but still keeping up with other bills.  Any money raised would go to pay for a new HVAC system, medical bills and bringing the house current.  My health deductible is $6,000.  A new HVAC system is approx. $12,000.   We also have plumbing issues, yet to be determined as far as repair costs.

I am overwhelmed by these things and would like to focus on getting better.  If the tumors in my brain go untreated, it can cause stroke or seizure.

Update:  My first day of radiation this week - I came out to the parking lot after my appointment to find the bumper hanging off my car.  Someone had committed a hit & run while I was inside having treatment.  While we have auto insurance, we have to pay a deductible to have the car repaired.  Fortunately, the insurance company is providing us with a rental so I can get to my appointments while Mike starts his new job.
